Today, a new novel by Oksana Zabuzhko will be presented in Kyїv. It’s called The Museum of Abandoned Secrets. The 500 830 pages long novel took the author some 5 years to write. Zabuzhko: “The novel covers 3 generations and 60 years of Ukrainian history (from autumn 1943 till spring 2004.) In short, this novel is about love and death.” While writing the novel Zabuzhko had to study arts, medicine, trade antiques, history of the UPA, etc., as well as browse archives and libraries and interview real people.
P.S. Cover art sucks, I know.
