11-22 July we'll spend on Island Krk in Town Krk (Croatia). The sommarvila/sommerpause/kesätauko (thank you, "Nordic Voices in Translation") will reign here at "WhyTranslator" (unless I write from Krk). One of the books I'll take with me there will be Island Krk and Other Stories by Izdryk (see picture above). :-) The funny thing is he didn't know about the island when he wrote his book; only later did he learn about its existence. The island is never mentioned in the book.

Island Krk
